Work Placement

Work Placements and Practical Support

The Careers Department holds an annual Careers Convention in the Michaelmas (autumn) term where teachers, business world contacts and willing parents help Upper Sixth students with mock university interviews.

The department has strong links with organisations willing to take students on work experience and we expect all Year 11 students to do a week’s placement after their GCSEs.

Women of the Future
Each June some lucky girls get the chance to mingle with political and business leaders, entrepreneurs and champions of change at the exciting Women of the Future Summit. We actively nurture connections with many people and organisations who can offer advice, inspiration and opportunities for our students.

Whatever their year, we’re always here to help students and actively guide them in the most appropriate direction. So, architect or zoologist, or anything in between – the sky’s the limit!

Further Advice
We’ve put together some handy info sheets notes to help with post-school planning.
