ICT

Our ICT ( Information & Communication Technology) teaching is designed to develop interest in technology and learning techniques that can help students make good progress in all subjects.

Key Stage 3
We introduce ICT across the curriculum, allowing meaningful development of practical skills and independent learning. 3rd and 4th Form Digital Literacy sessions help girls improve their technical proficiency and use their own creativity.

Key Stage 4
Students follow the Certificate in Digital Applications (CiDA) from Edexcel with a focus on creative computing, which empowers learners to play an active role rather than simply consuming digital content. The course is tailor-made to meet the needs of today’s creative industries, and covers imaging, creative multimedia, website development and computer game production.

Sixth Form
Upper and Lower 6th Form students can study OCR A’ level Computing, which gives a much greater insight into the operation of computers and networking systems. Other Sixth Form students are welcome to attend the Computer Centre whenever they want – we offer advice to help them use IT effectively in all their studies.
